This is a top notch hotel. It is situated in a very beautiful place next to a lovely garden. The staff went above and beyond and were so great and hospitable. The location of the hotel is awesome as bus , train and taxi are all accessible. Local markets are also within walking distance and it was great. I did not eat the food at the hotel , becuase I like to sleep in and did not expect to eat breakfast. Getting in and out of the hotel was easy, walking around was great because of the hotel's location. The staff was super friendly with ideas and tips for travelling around the city. When we first checked in, I noticed that the phone was not working. Within 5 mins, a lovely gentleman came to the room to check it. Upon that, a guest agent from the front desk said that I could have a diff room. Because I was staying on the 7th floor and wanted to have a room closer to the ground; I was moved into a larger room on the ground floor. Since I was staying for 8 days, I really appreciated the kind and thoughtful gesture. The gentleman from front desk (tall and very slim gentleman, named Mohammed) helped me to move all of my stuff. This was 3 trips on the lift! Albert (bright red haired gentleman) was also very helpful with my questions about getting around town and he offered to print out maps and write down instructions for me. Each and every staff member went out of their way and this was very much appreciated. The warm cookie and coffee was a great touch after a long day of sight seeing too. The hotel itself has a lovely garden which I could see from my room and it was lovely to sit there at night as well. The hotel is situated in a lovely part of the city and was easy for Uber pick ups. Plus, getting to the train station is less than a 5 mins walk. There are not too many brand name hotels in the area so I will be booking this hotel and recommending this to others as well for future trips.

We traveled with a grandson of 13 yrs. The room we originally got through Booking.com would not have had the separate beds we needed, nor any room for a rollaway. Communicating directly with the hotel made it possible to change our reservation to a "Family deluxe" room on the top floor (astounding views in all directions) & we would love to have that rom again on our next trip. Likewise, prepaying for breakfast let us to eat leisurely at a great buffet in the mornings. NOTE: Neither breakfast nor room were "American Standard"; this is a British hotel with mostly British guests and British sensibility and space.

Booked the hotel at the last minute after reading the reviews of the hostel I was MEANT to be staying in! Was very impressed with the Doubletree. It is located off the main drag on a quiet square. I got a free upgrade to a Queen room which was basically a small suite. The bathroom was large and separated from the rest of the room by sliding doors decorated with graphics relating to the history of Greenwich - a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I opted to pay extra for the cooked breakfast - this was an unlimited buffet, served in a large dining room down a spiral staircase from the hotel bar.

I've stayed at this Hilton a year ago and found it a fantastic hotel for the price and location. What's more, they have air conditioning, which is a godsend as I originally booked into student accommodation on Holloway Road for the whole week which did not, and I could no longer take it as it was so uncomfortably hot, so I had no choice but to return here and it was the best decision; I should have gone here from the start. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. I couldn't ask for more during such a trying week that I was having.

The staff was the proper definition of customer services! I celebrated my birthday and it was something I wanted to do for me! It was lovely to come back to the room and to find a desert with happy birthday and a lovely card! The bar was excelent as well! I want to say thank you to Saketh, his colleague sorry I forgot the name, Andra. It was a lovely experience for me!! The room was like the pictures, the cleaning lady very sweat as well (I forgot to put the sign as I check out at different time) and she was very polite!!
